BUT
It never even thought about it at all!
Crosby nails this of the line with torque and drive that doesn’t burn the tires but grips every inch of available blacktop. Beauregard “Bug” Montage is stuck between a rock and the life he left to have his family. He has bills stacking up, the kids need braces, and his mom is one bad day from getting kicked out of the nursing home. So he’s called back into the life of crime he thought he’d left for good. This book is so well written I found myself gripping my steering wheel a little tighter and the distance between the pedal and the metal a bit shorter as I listened to the audiobook. Never too much, but always just the right amount of action and suspense.
The one fault was some loose ends not tied up, BUT hopefully this leads to the set up for a sequel or series. I want to see what happens too! What happens with Bug? What’s his next move? He had everything planned out, so you can’t tell me there isn't more to this story.
Much is being, rightfully, said about Crosby's book Razorblade Tears, but this is a great place to start and I would recommend it as a great introduction!
