Dry County by Jake Hinkson

Dry County by Jake Hinkson is a dynamo book written from five perspectives bouncing off each other like pool balls over the course of Easter Weekend 2016. Over the course of roughly 200 pages, Hinkson wrestles with the struggles of small town sin as few other writers can. Where other books and series (Breaking Bad comes to mind) ask the question "How could someone so good do so wrong?", in Dry County we are forced to ask an entirely different set of questions as we come to grips with the notion that not all that glitters in gold.
